Squarespace Tiered Features and Plans

Looking for more advanced eCommerce features? Consider Squarespace’s Advanced Commerce plan ($36 per month) or try Shopify ($29 per month). Learn more about how Squarespace vs Shopify compares in our Squarespace vs Shopify guide.

Staff

The Squarespace Personal plan is a great choice for users who are interested in building their first website and don’t need a lot of extra bells and whistles. Pricing breaks down to $19 per month if you pay as you go, or $14 per month if you pay a year up front. If you’re a freelancer or solo entrepreneur looking for a way to showcase your portfolio, share relevant content, or start a blog, this plan is for you. Arguably the biggest downside of the personal plan is that there are no e-commerce options, so you won’t be able to sell anything.

Business

Squarespace Business takes the personal plan to the next level, offering e-commerce capabilities like selling, accepting donations, gift card features, and discount codes. The business rate is $33 per month, or $23 per month if you pay annually, which equates to a savings of 30%. This plan is a great option for businesses that don’t plan on having extreme sales numbers and don’t mind the 3% transaction fee.

Basic trade

If you’ve increased your sales and have a growing e-commerce business, consider choosing the Basic Commerce plan. Along with getting access to advanced analytics, you’ll also get point-of-sale (POS) functionality and merchandising tools. The monthly fee for Basic Commerce is $36, or $27 per month if billed annually. Notably, this plan stands out at the enterprise level because it eliminates all transaction fees, and users can promote products with “limited availability” labels.

Advanced trade

The Advanced Commerce plan takes everything offered in the Basic Commerce plan and then adds additional additions such as advanced discount codes, the ability to sell subscriptions, and real-time shipping quotes for postal businesses. Advanced Commerce will cost you $65 per month, or $49 per month if you opt for an annual payment. It’s also the only Squarespace plan that offers the abandoned cart recovery feature, which many businesses find essential to increasing their online sales.
