Upon receipt of the complaints, action was also taken against the perpetrators and several fake registration portals were blocked.

In addition to fraudulent websites, WhatsApp and other means are also used to mislead potential beneficiaries. The ministry therefore strongly advised those interested in the PM-KUSUM program to verify the authenticity of the website before providing any personal information or depositing any money.

The ministry further advised not to click on any unverified or suspicious link received via Whatsapp/SMS claiming to be the registration portal of the PM-KUSUM program.
