Updating the status of computer systems

EFSC Network Disruption Notice: Sunday, October 9, 2022, 12:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

An after-hours network maintenance window has been scheduled which will affect local and remote network users. During this network upgrade, access to university networks, websites, including the main Easternflorida.edu website, CANVAS, myEFSC, and telephone services on all campuses will be affected.

Chronology of maintenance interruptions:

Sunday October 9, 2022, 00:01 – 06:00

Details:

On October 9, the IT department will upgrade the main network routers. During this event, network users will experience intermittent outages affecting the following IT services:

  • the Internet
  • Wi-Fi access
  • E-mail
  • Telephones
  • Banner/TitanWeb
  • EFSC website

Any apps that require authentication through PortalGuard (Titan Single Sign In) will also be affected. Most of these applications are hosted on the myEFSC portal and require username and password authentication. During the Sunday period from 00:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., the following services will not be available:

  • myEFSC (https://my.easternflorida.edu)
  • Microsoft Office365 applications (including Student Titan Email)
  • Canvas Learning Management System
  • Selling power
  • Any web application requiring authentication with your username/password

The maintenance window is scheduled between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 9 to disrupt users as little as possible.
